How do we know the transformer capacity in Shenzhen? When we talk about transformer capacity, many people don't know what the calculation formula of transformer capacity is. So how to calculate the transformer capacity?
1、 Some problems about transformer capacity calculation
1. The additional capacity of the transformer should be the maximum apparent load power that can ensure the normal operation of the transformer under the specified operating conditions;
2. The apparent power is the output power of the transformer and the apparent power of the transformer with the maximum load;
3. When the transformer is in extra operation, the output apparent power of the transformer is equal to the additional capacity;
4. When the transformer operates extra, the input apparent power of the transformer is greater than the additional capacity;
5. Because the power of the transformer is very high, it is generally assumed that the input apparent power of the transformer is equal to the additional capacity when the transformer is in extra operation, and the calculation and results are also fundamentally accurate;
6. Therefore, when using a transformer, you only need to investigate the output current, voltage, power factor and its apparent power equal to or less than the additional capacity is safe (when the operation conditions are satisfied);
7. Some people think that the transformer has loss, must operate under 90% of the additional capacity is wrong!
8. It is right to multiply the safety factor according to the calculation load when selecting the transformer capacity in design.
2、 Calculation formula of transformer capacity
1. Calculate the maximum power of each phase of the load
Add the load power of phase a, phase B and phase C independently, for example, the total load power of phase A is 10kW, the total load power of phase B is 9kw, and the total load power of phase C is 11kw, and the maximum value is 11kw. (Note: the power of single-phase equipment is calculated according to the maximum value on the name plate. The power of three-phase equipment divided by 3 is equal to the power of each phase of this equipment. )
For example: c-phase load total power = (computer 300wx10 sets) + (air conditioning 2kwx4 sets) = 11kw
2. Three phase total power calculation
11kwx3 phase = 33kw (three phase total power of transformer)
Three phase total power / 0.8, which is the most important process. At present, only 0.8 is required for more than 90% of the transformers sold on the market, so the demand is divided by the power factor of 0.8.
33kw / 0.8 = 41.25kw (total power of transformer) The total power of transformer is 0.85. According to the power engineering design manual, the transformer capacity should be selected according to the accounting load. For a single transformer with stable load power supply, the load rate is generally about 85%. 41.25kw / 0.85 = 48.529kw (the power of transformer to be purchased), then 50KVA transformer can be selected when purchasing.
